Totally Papercrafts - More Than One Fold

It's time for this week's Totally Papercrafts challenge - More Than One Fold. This was a tough one for me because I'm not usually very good at "fold-y" cards. However, I followed Beate Johns' awesome tutorial on SplitCoastStampers and came up with this cutie on the first try:

side view:

Supplies include the adorable Dan digital stamp from DigiStamp Boutique, Martha Stewart daisy border punch and butterfly punch, blue cs from PaperTrey Ink and my trusty Copics. (The sentiment is from The Angel Company.)

Our sponsor this week is the awesome Simon Says Stamp. So, head on over to the blog, check out the DT cards and play along for your chance at a gift card from Simon Says Stamp!

Totally Papercrafts - Animals

It's me sneaking in just a tad (!!) late this week with this week's Totally Papercrafts challenge. This is one of my favorites because the theme is "Animals" - which means I can use a doggie image. Yay! :) Our sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique so I used one of the May releases, Toby and Tobias. I hope Toby & Tobias are secure in the masculinity because I used a ton of PINK in my card for this week's Cute Card Thursday challenge (Pink and Green). :)

Head on over to the Totally Papercrafts blog to check out the other DT gals' work. Then be sure to participate in the challenge for your chance to win some of your own cute digi images from  DigiStamp Boutique!

Totally Papercrafts Sketch

Guess what? It was my turn this week to host the Totally Papercrafts sketch! I created this fun little sketch to use in your card or other project this week:

Our sponsor this week is the adorable Meljen's Designs. I used this cute little crab image for my card. It's a birthday card for my sister, whose astrological sign is Cancer the crab and who is also known (especially by her big sister) to be a bit of a crab. ;-)

Here's the inside. I just typed it up on my computer and printed it out. I don't normally decorate the inside of my cards, but I have to admit that it was fun and does add a nice finishing touch to your card.

That's enough blabbering from me! :) Head on over to Totally Papercrafts to check out this week's DT cards and get the particulars for playing along. Can't wait to see your cards this week!

No Girls Allowed!

This week's challenge at Totally Papercrafts is definitely one for the guys. In fact - "No Pesky Girls" are allowed! Our sponsor this week is Alota Rubber Stamps. Alota Rubber Stamps is offering a generous $20 gift certificate to the winner of this week's challenge, so be sure to play along!

This was a bit of a tough challenge for me, as the mom of two girls and self-admitted lover of girly things like the color pink. Fortunately, Sally-Ann of DigiStamp Boutique came to my rescue with this cute new Funtime Dan offer.

My layout is based on this week's sketch from Card Positioning Systems:

I had been looking for the large dot Cuttlebug folder for forever. I finally found it (on sale!) at Joann.com a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun to use it with some DCWV cardstock and then sand it to expose the white core. Cool!

Be sure to check out the other Totally Papercrafts DT members' cards and leave them a nice comment if yo have time. :) Then play along for your chance at the $20 gift certificate from Alota Rubber Stamps!

Cool Thoughts on a Hot Day

When I saw that this week's Totally Papercrafts challenge was White on White, I knew this cute little Wee Stamps image would be just perfect. She is so cute, she doesn't need a lot of extras. :)

A Saturated Challenge!

This week's Totally Papercrafts challenge is sponsored by Saturated Canary, so our theme for this week's challenge is to use saturated colors. That is, colors that are intense and bright like these:

Somehow, in the excitement of choosing an image for my card, yours truly completely forgot the theme and chose... Wedding Day. You know - Wedding as in "all dressed in white" - as in no color, much less saturated color. Oops!! However, I realized that she did have hair and eyes that I could color vibrantly. She was carrying a bouquet. And, the more I looked at card samples on the web, I found most people colored the underskirt that peeks out from the front of her dress. So, being able to saturate those elements with color along with some pretty saturated dp yielded this card:

The swirly paper is from The Paper Studio and the dotted paper is a scrap of PTI Raspberry Fizz Bitty Dot dp. She's colored with Copics (of course!) with some pearls, silver ribbon, ultrafine glitter and pearlescent fabric paint (the dots of her crown/headband). Because the paper was rather fussy/busy, I kept the card embellishments to a minimum.

I always have the worst time trying to catch the shimmer of glitter, but hopefully you can see some of the details here:

She is a beautiful bride, isn't she?

You know the drill. :) Head on over to the Totally Papercrafts blog and check out the other dt members cards (and give them a little love on their blogs, if time allows - everyone loves a compliment or two on their cards). Then, play along with our Saturated Color challenge for a chance to win a prize from Krista and Saturated Canary!
